Refund Policy

Event Ticketing · Last updated: February 7, 2026

All ticket sales are final. By completing a purchase, you acknowledge and agree to the terms below. This policy is written to be as strict as permitted by applicable law and the rules of the major card networks (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover). Sections App LLC ("Sections") is the event organizer for events sold through the SECTIONS platform, and this policy governs all such purchases.

Scope

This Refund Policy applies to all events sold through the SECTIONS platform unless a specific event, venue, host, or co-organizer has published its own separate refund policy at the time of purchase, in which case that separate policy governs that specific event. Where any conflict exists between this policy and an event-specific policy, the event-specific policy controls only the matters it expressly addresses; all other matters remain governed by this policy.

1. No Refunds, No Exchanges, No Transfers

Tickets are non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and strictly non-transferable once purchased. Tickets may not be resold, reassigned, gifted, or transferred to another person under any circumstance. This includes, without limitation, refunds or exchanges requested for: change of mind, scheduling conflicts, travel issues, illness, inability to attend, weather (unless the event is officially cancelled), forgotten tickets, denied venue entry due to intoxication, prohibited items, dress code, age restrictions, failure to present valid ID, or failure to comply with venue rules.

2. Age-Restricted Events

Sections events are strictly age-gated, typically 21+. Valid government-issued photo ID is required for entry. Guests denied entry for failing to meet the age requirement, failing to present valid ID, or presenting an ID deemed invalid or fraudulent by venue staff will not receive a refund, credit, or replacement ticket under any circumstance.

3. Lost, Stolen, or Forwarded Tickets

You are solely responsible for safeguarding your ticket and confirmation. Sections does not replace tickets that are lost, stolen, deleted, screenshotted, forwarded, or otherwise compromised. If a ticket is presented at the door by another individual, entry may be granted to whoever presents it first, and no refund or replacement will be issued to the original purchaser.

4. Event Cancellation

If an event is cancelled in its entirety by Sections and not rescheduled, the face value of the ticket will be refunded to the original method of payment. Per-order service fees, processing fees, delivery fees, and payment-processing fees are non-refundable to the fullest extent permitted by law.

5. Postponed or Rescheduled Events

If an event is postponed or rescheduled, your original ticket will be honored on the new date. No refund will be issued solely because you are unable to attend the rescheduled date.

6. Events Cut Short, Interrupted, or Relocated

If an event begins and is later cut short, paused, interrupted, or relocated to a different venue due to weather, safety concerns, venue conditions, force majeure, or any other reason, refunds are issued solely at the discretion of Sections on a case-by-case basis. The event will generally be considered delivered once it has begun, including where the event continues at a relocated venue or with adjusted programming.

Where Sections elects to offer goodwill credit, partial credit, perks, or other accommodations in lieu of a refund, such accommodations are made at our sole discretion, are not an admission of fault, do not modify this policy, and do not establish precedent or entitlement for any future event or guest.

7. Force Majeure and Venue Shutdowns

Sections is not liable for delays, interruptions, early termination, relocation, or cancellation of an event caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to: action by police, fire marshal, or other government authority; venue closure or loss of permits; severe weather; power, internet, or utility failure; fire, flood, or natural disaster; civil unrest, riot, or threat of violence; public health orders; or any other act of force majeure. In such circumstances, no refund, credit, or replacement is owed, and any accommodation Sections chooses to offer is made under Section 6 at our sole discretion.

8. Materially Different Performance

A refund of the ticket face value may be issued only where the event is delivered in a manner that is materially different from what was advertised (for example, the headline performer does not appear at all and is not replaced). Lineup substitutions, set-time changes, opener changes, venue layout changes, capacity adjustments, venue relocations, and minor schedule changes do not qualify.

9. Ticket Upgrades

Subject to availability, ticket upgrades (for example, GA to VIP) may be permitted at the sole discretion of Sections. Upgrades require payment of the difference between the original ticket and the upgraded ticket at the price in effect at the time of upgrade. Upgrades are final, non-refundable, and do not entitle the buyer to a refund of the original ticket.

10. Duplicate Charges and Processing Errors

Verified duplicate charges or technical processing errors caused by our platform will be refunded once confirmed by our team. You must notify us within 14 days of the charge. Claims submitted after this window will not be considered.

11. Fraudulent or Unauthorized Purchases

If you believe your account or payment method was used without your authorization, contact us immediately. We cooperate with card issuers and law enforcement and will refund confirmed unauthorized transactions as required by card network rules.

12. Chargebacks

We strongly encourage you to contact us before initiating a chargeback. Filing a chargeback for a reason not covered by this policy or by card network rules constitutes a breach of these terms and may result in immediate, permanent suspension of your account and cancellation of any associated tickets without refund. We will dispute all chargebacks that fall outside the limited exceptions in sections 4, 8, 10, and 11.

13. Resale and Unauthorized Sellers

Tickets purchased through unauthorized resellers, third-party marketplaces, or any party other than Sections directly are not eligible for any refund, replacement, or support from us, and may be voided at the door. Use of our platform to resell, scalp, or distribute tickets without authorization is prohibited and may result in cancellation of all associated orders without refund.

14. Sections Credit

Where Sections issues credit toward a future event in lieu of a refund, such credit is non-transferable, has no cash value, may only be applied to events sold directly through the SECTIONS platform, and expires twelve (12) months from the date of issuance unless otherwise stated in writing. Credit cannot be combined with other promotional offers and is forfeited if the associated account is suspended or terminated.

15. Statutory Rights

Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable rights you have under the laws of your jurisdiction (for example, mandatory consumer protections). Where such rights apply, this policy is to be read in the strictest manner permitted alongside them. Note that many jurisdictions exempt time-limited live events from standard distance-selling cooling-off periods.

16. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising out of or relating to this Refund Policy are governed by the dispute resolution provisions in our Terms of Service, including any arbitration, governing law, and venue terms set forth therein.

17. How to Request a Refund

If your situation falls within one of the limited exceptions above, email info@sectionsapp.com from the email address used at purchase, including your order ID and a description of the issue. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 30 days of approval.

By purchasing a ticket you confirm you have read, understood, and accepted this Refund Policy in full. We may update this policy from time to time; the version in effect at the time of your purchase governs that order.
